HBC entered two homes in this year’s Fall Parade of Homes that garnered three awards:
- Distinctive Plan and Design: First Place for their entry at Copperleaf
- Pick of the Parade: First Runner Up for their entry in Woodneath Farms
- Pick of the Parade: First Runner Up for their entry in Copperleaf
The Distinctive Plan and Designs Awards focuses on design elements including furnishings, accessories, functionality, and overall curb appeal. The Pick of the Parade Awards focuses on construction elements including the selection of materials, craftsmanship, and overall home construction and performance.
Twenty judges from across the country including builders, interior designers, and other housing professionals were in Kansas City to evaluate the entries. “We get a lot of pleasure out of designing and building homes that excite our customers and provide a home that they enjoy for years,” said HBC owner Chris Ragland following the awards ceremony. “It is equally rewarding to be recognized by your peers and other industry professionals for your efforts.” Roy Ragland added, “The competition was particularly tough this year. With the housing market on the rise, many builders put extra effort into their entries. We are truly honored to receive these awards.”
All 269 Fall Parade of Homes entries remain open to the public daily from 11:00 – 6:00 through October 13th, including HBC’s three entries. And, if you would like to speak with Chris about her award winning efforts, or anything else for that matter, join her at the Meet the Builder events scheduled at their Copperleaf entry.
