“Our entire lives we have been involved in the community and school district we live in. Just giving time to our community makes for a better community,” says Chris Ragland. This is not just a statement, but it is a way of life for Chris and Roy. Currently, Chris is serving as Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City where she says they get so much back from the HBA with builders and associates sharing knowledge of how to improve our business. “I call my fellow builders in the HBA on a regular basis asking for advice or sharing information. It is a great association full of great folks,” says Chris.
In addition, Chris is a Trustee of the National Association of Home Builders Builder 20 Club where she advocates for the housing industry. “It is very important to communicate with our legislators on what impacts our business and the NAHB is a great way to communicate with our politicians, “says Chris. “Also, during this time of many building code changes, letting the legislators know what improves safety and energy efficiencies and what the payback is for the consumer in these areas is very important.”
Roy serves on the board of Rebuilding Clay Country and is Co-chair of the sales and marketing committee of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Kansas City.
